WELCOME to the 183rd Glasgow Scout Group. We offer a programme full of fun and adventure! From Camping to Climbing, Abseiling to Archery. With over 150 members enjoying our adventurous activities every week and new members joining all the time, the 183 is the leading youth organisation in Bearsden.
Scouting is the largest co-educational Youth movement in the UK, with over 500,000 members. Scouting changes lives, that's a fact!

There have been enough people involved in Scouting in the UK since 1907 (10 million) to fill the new Wembley stadium 111 times over.
THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SCOUTING
The Aim of the 183rd Glasgow Scout Group is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The Method of achieving this Aim is by providing a very enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult Leadership.
